Su Embree is DHM’s Chairperson & Senior Counsel. Her interest in research began early in college, where she learned the power of good data. Today, with over twenty years of experience, Su provides guidance and mentorship to the team. Her insights have informed master transportation plans, policy and program development, and communications and marketing for private and public sector clients across the nation.
Su believes strongly community involvement, and she is dedicated to developing young leaders to increase diversity and equity in corporate leadership.She co-founded the Emerging Leaders PDX internship program, aimed at creating opportunity and mentorship for students of color in the Portland area. Su serves as a Trustee of the Oregon Community Foundation and as the President of the Entrepreneur Organization’s Portland chapter. She is also involved at OMSI as an Executive Committee member and the Trustee Committee Chair; in addition, she is involved in the International Women’s Forum and Greater Portland 2020, and is on the board of Healthy Democracy. She was awarded the Orchid Award by the Portland Business Journal for Achievements for Women of Influence.
Su received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee and is analumna of the Wharton School of Business Executive Education Program on Finance and Operations.
