500,000 VOICES

Beginning in 2014, we contacted over 2,000 residents across Clark, Cowlitz, and Skamania counties to understand their priorities for the local economy, education, public safety, the environment, poverty, health, the arts, and charitable giving. The project gave voice to ordinary people in southwest Washington and provided local policy makers, leaders, and institutions with public insights to shape future programs and policies.

Our partners for this project included community groups such as the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington, the Northwest Health Foundation, and the United Way of Columbia-Willamette; media such as Oregon Public Broadcasting, The Columbian and AHA!; and local schools like Washington State University Vancouver and Clark College.
